Temporary Consultant In Old Age Psychiatry (mental Health Liaison Service)
Job Description
The Southern Trust wishes to recruit a highly motivated Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry for the Mental Health Liaison Service.
The Mental Health Liaison team operates a 24/7 assessment service to the Emergency departments in Craigavon Area and Daisy Hill hospitals and responds to referrals from the medical, surgical and maternity wards. The post holder will be responsible for assessing and/ or advising on all over 18 year olds presenting with mental health symptoms regardless of cause, including substance misuse, psychiatry of old age and dementia/delirium.
This is a full-time permanent position, however we welcome applications from those interested in working part-time / job share. All posts are appointed to the Southern Health and Social Care Trust; however, the base hospital for this post is BLUESTONE UNIT, Craigavon Area Hospital.
