Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable Temporary Delivery Driver to join our team for holiday cover.

The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

Operate delivery vans or vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries. Communicate with staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any discrepancies. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Assist with heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.

Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or Van Driver is essential. Strong driving skills with a valid driving license suitable for the vehicle type. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members. Experience in warehouse operations is an advantage. Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks when necessary. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
