Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. Your expertise in medical imaging and knowledge of anatomy will be essential in ensuring accurate assessments and treatments.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to maintain optimal oral health for patients. Utilise medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing and flossing techniques. Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records of dental procedures performed. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop comprehensive treatment plans. Assist in the preparation of treatment rooms and sterilisation of instruments. Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist licence or equivalent qualification. Proficiency in medical imaging techniques is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health is essential. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are a must. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
