We are looking for a temporary editorial project manager to join our educational publishing client on a temporary basis until the end of October. This offers remote working and great flexibility with it being part-time, requiring 5 x 1/2 days per week (approx 15-20 hours per week). We are ideally looking for candidates with ELT experience. You will ideally be available for an immediate start. See below more information about this temporary assignment:
Responsibilities
To collate proofs, conduct photo research, write artwork briefs, clear text permissions, and carry out other editorial tasks as necessary.
To help ensure that all products are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and are produced to the required specification.
To contribute to adding value for our customers by identifying potential project risks and issues as early as possible, and offering possible solutions based on their own publishing experience and knowledge to the programme/project manager.
To communicate effectively with publishing customers, when necessary, attending in-person meetings as appropriate.
To contribute to workflow development and documentation, ensuring processes are tailored to customer and project needs.
To manage freelancers where necessary.
To attend team meetings online as required.
To provide relevant holiday cover for other team members.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Impeccable editorial, organisational and communication skills.
Previous ELT publishing experience, particularly a good working knowledge of editorial processes.
Experience of ELT Assessment would be a valuable addition.
