The Opportunity
Thompson & Terry Recruitment are working with a well-established and expanding manufacturing business, based in Kidlington, who are looking to recruit an independent and autonomous Finance Assistant to their support on a temporary basis.
As Temporary Finance Assistant reporting into the CFO, you will be solely responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company's finances. A big part of this role will be transactional led, however, you will also be involved in the financial reporting and strategy side of the business.
As Temporary Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing payroll, reporting weekly cash and sales, quarterly VAT returns, reconciling accounts, credit control and invoicing. Due to the nature of the company, their clients are invoiced in different currencies (Euros, Dollars and Sterling), so attention to detail is a must.
The successful Temporary Finance Assistant, must be autonomous and able to manage their own workload. As this role is part-time, our client are open to school hours and/or flexible working.

Our client are a well-established and expanding manufacturing business, based in Kidlington, with an excellent reputation for their specialist work.
This role is available on a part-time, temporary basis, with the client open to school hours and flexible working (24 hours per week within their core business hours).
Requirements

• Experience within a comparable Finance Assistant or Management Accountant role
• Exceptional organisation skills, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience of using digital accountancy software, Xero or similar
• Self-sufficient with the confidence to manage the day to day running of the finances of the business
