Using unique gemstones and ethical materials, we work closely with our customers to create their special, future heirloom pieces. Flinn & Steel offers wedding bands in unique, alternative materials such as titanium, tantalum and stainless steel, and styles that are a step away from the traditional. Our wealth of knowledge and experience helps customers make the right decision for them, and we welcome all couples, whoever they love.

We are a small (under 20), close knit team with commitment to the business' success and having fun doing it! This role will involve financial administrative tasks for our two brands, Jessica Flinn and Flinn & Steel.

What we're looking for



We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Administration Officer as full or part time Maternity Cover. This pivotal role involves managing various administrative tasks and supporting the overall finance related operations of the organisation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in accounting software and financial services, ensuring efficient and confidential handling of accounts payable and data entry tasks. You will be pro-active in your approach, and confident working with senior management and our accountant as required.

Responsibilities



Oversee daily administrative operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies. Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment approvals. Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for accurate financial record-keeping. Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and documentation as required. Maintain organised filing systems for both physical and digital records. Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and support for ongoing projects.

Requirements



Proven experience in a finance administrative role. AAT or working towards AAT would be desirable. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar applications. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial documentation. Analytical approach to finance reporting. Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Alignment with our inclusivity and diversity values.

Contract length: 9-10 months

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 22.5 - 37.5 per week
