We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic for maintenance work. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues Diagnose faults accurately using specialised tools and diagnostic techniques Perform repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance on mechanical components Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken Collaborate with other team members to ensure safety standards are upheld during all operations Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as required Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations Provide guidance and support to junior staff or apprentices when necessary

Experience

Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components is desirable Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams effectively Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering are advantageous but not essential for all levels of experience
