shoezone has an opportunity for a temporary sales assistant (maternity cover) to join our team based in our Shrewsbury store. You will join us on a 12hr temporary part time, on a temporary basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

We are a town centre, retail park and digital footwear retailer, offering low price and high-quality footwear for the whole family, with free next day delivery on all orders, seven days a week. We operate from 270 stores and have approximately 2,200 employees across the UK.

Our store portfolio consists of 72 town centre stores, which stock the core shoezone product range and 155 hybrid town centre stores and 45 larger retail park stores which also stock additional brands such as Skechers, Hush Puppies and Kickers.

shoezone.com, which stocks online exclusive footwear, combined with our store network and marketplaces, ensures a full multi-channel offering for great customer service.

During an average year we sell 14.5 million pairs of shoes per annum at an average retail price of 13.

The role:

It is a 12hr temporary position covering a maternity leave, with Full training provided to achieve targets & learn new responsibilities & build motivation within the team..

What we're looking for in your role:

- A background in retail store, retail in general is essential but not a must as training is provided
- Able to demonstrate your passion for retail and customer service
- Be ready to take the next step in your retail career
- Someone who likes to be busy, able to multitask and can embrace change
- Able to listen to your team & motivate

This role does require full flexibility within the week & weekend work

Store hours are 9:5.30 mon - sat & 10.30-4.30 sundays

Having retail skills & experience is helpful but full training is provided.

If you are currently or looking at attending college this role is not suitable for you as it is required flexibility in the week & weekend availability
