Copeland Community Nursing Team have an exciting opportunity for a new or existing band 6 senior nurse to cover for maternity leave over the next 12 months. We have 2 full time posts requiring cover, 75hrs in total
We would welcome applicants form nurses within the community nursing team, who are seeking to develop their skills within a senior community nursing role. Within a busy but very supportive team. We would look to support a motivated and enthusiastic nurse to take on this role. Full preceptorship will be offered as part of this career progression.
The role involves the delivery of holistic, patient-centred care in the community as well as complex caseload management. The successful applicant will be expected to manage the day to day running of the service and allocation of workload. They will also be required to be the 'triage nurse' on a rota system. They will be expected to provide highly skilled evidence based nursing interventions to patients within a community setting.
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work within a changing environment and have good communication skills. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the ability to work on your own, and also as part of a team. You will be supported by the Community Nursing Team Leads and fellow Band 6 Senior Community Nurses to deliver nursing care covering weekdays, weekends, bank holidays and evenings.

This role requires you to demonstrate the skills and knowledge to support the provision of high-quality care, to support patients with complex needs within the community setting, and to support the Team Lead to provide clinical leadership and operational management of the community nurse team along with management of the clinical caseload for the team. Community experience is therefore desirable.
