We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Serving Assistant to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for guest services and a keen interest in food safety and preparation. As a Serving Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests, contributing to the overall success of our establishment

This is a temporary job 22nd nov - 22nd dec plus training days. The ideal candidates must be available at least two evenings 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Saturdays ideally 8:00 am - 8.00 pm shifts will vary from pop ups in Bow street mall and our hot chocolate hut in the town centre

Duties

Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Provide excellent guest services by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs promptly. Support servers by taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and clearing tables efficiently. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the dining experience and promote menu items. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, kitchen, and service stations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality of food served. Utilise basic maths skills for accurate order processing and handling payments when necessary. Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within service periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong guest service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Basic culinary skills and familiarity with food preparation techniques are advantageous. Ability to upsell menu items through effective communication and enthusiasm. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
