URGENT!! We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team to cover a busy Christmas period. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to navigate efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries. This role involves driving, heavy lifting, and effective communication with both customers and warehouse staff.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a 3.5tonne delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations throughout the UK. Load and unload items, ensuring that all products are handled with care. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any changes to schedules. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.

Requirements

Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable. Valid driver's licence with up to 6 points ; experience driving commercial vehicles is an advantage. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes. Flexibility as you may be required to stay out overnight once or twice a week. The company will pay for hotel accommodation. Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members effectively. Must be 25 or over due to insurance purposes. Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial but not essential. Must be organised, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
