Temporary Works Coordinator Avonmouth

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Specialized in civil engineering and engineering structures, Bouygues Travaux Publics is one of the world leaders in the fields of land use planning and sustainable infrastructure construction. Bouygues Travaux Publics is committed to diversity and is open to all talents.

The Civil Works Alliance are recruiting a Temporary Works Co-ordinator to join our team working in Avonmouth-- supporting the delivery of one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects: Sizewell C.

As part of the Civil Works Alliance, we are looking for someone to help manage and coordinate the temporary works design and delivery process across a wide scope of complex, large-scale civil engineering activity. For the marine and tunnelling section of works.

In this role, you'll be working closely with the Temporary Works Manager, Delivery Directors and Project Managers, ensuring all temporary works are designed, verified, implemented, and maintained safely and effectively in accordance with the required standards and procedures -- including those specific to offshore works.

Key responsibilities include:

Coordinating all parties involved in temporary works design and delivery

Managing the Temporary Works Schedule and updating design documentation

Reviewing and preparing design briefs, ensuring compliance with all codes and offshore requirements

Supervising design reviews, inspections, hold points and construction readiness

Ensuring that construction works proceed only on 'for construction' issued drawings

Conducting inspections prior to critical operations such as loading/unloading

Supporting lessons learned reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

This is a critical role that will place you at the heart of the Sizewell C construction programme. You'll be part of a project that will generate 3.2GW of clean energy -- enough to power 6 million homes -- and support the UK's move to net zero.

We're looking for someone who has:

Demonstrable experience in coordinating temporary works on large, complex projects, ideally including offshore or marine works

Completion of an approved Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) training course (recent attendance or refresher)

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a strong safety-first approach

A collaborative working style, with confidence liaising across engineering, construction and client teams

Up-to-date understanding of relevant codes, standards, lifting operations and offshore-specific requirements

Formal qualifications (e.g. HNC or Degree) are desirable, but what's most important is your hands-on experience and ability to lead temporary works in a high-risk, high-complexity environment.

If you're ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role with a direct impact on the delivery of a nationally critical infrastructure project, we'd love to hear from you.
