Job Description

Due to an increased workload and an expansion within the UK construction industry, we are in need of a Temporary Works Engineer to assist in a wide range of temporary works design.

Our clients range from local subcontractors to multinationals with 1 billion+ turnover. At times you may be based on site, providing support during the construction phase of projects.

We have an expert team of engineers, led by our experienced Chief Executive Officer, who produce both project specific and standard detail designs in line with British Standards or Eurocodes and CDM. Typical design work we undertake include but not exclusively:

CAT 1-3 Checking Scaffolding Formwork Falsework Tower Crane Bases Needling & Propping Facade Retention Mobile Crane Outrigger Foundations Excavation Support Hoist Bases Temporary Foundations Hoardings Working Platforms Retaining Wall Design check of permanent structures
You will report to one of our Senior Engineers and be responsible for:

Designing and checking temporary works schemes to ensure compliance with BS5975 and appropriate British Standards and Eurocodes. Ensure schemes provided to our clients are the most suitable to their needs, wherever possible suggesting Value Engineering solutions and altering initial schemes where programme or cost savings can be made. Assisting with the general operation of the company and supporting our Temporary Works Co-ordinators on client's site throughout the UK. Build relationships with Clients

Requirements:

Civil/Structural Engineering degree or similar. Previous temporary works design experience. IT literate Ability to use AutoCAD , and design/analysis software. Full UK Driving License. Own vehicle. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration with team members and clients. A keen attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
This is an office-based role.

The salary indicated is a guideline only.

The offered renumeration will be dependent on the extent of your experience, qualifications, and skill set.
