Job Description

NTACO Structural Engineers is seeking an experienced Temporary Works Engineer to support a complex residential renovation project in Central London. This is a hands-on role ideal for a competent engineer with strong site experience and a solid understanding of temporary works design and on-site implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Design and check temporary works for structural alterations, including: Propping Needling Temporary supports Excavation support (where required)

Carry out site inspections and provide written technical feedback Liaise with contractors, architects, and project managers Ensure all temporary works comply with UK standards and best practice (BS 5975) Assess construction sequencing and stability during structural modifications Provide risk assessments and method statement input when required
Requirements

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Proven experience as a Temporary Works Engineer on UK projects Strong understanding of residential refurbishments and structural alterations Good knowledge of: BS 5975 CDM Regulations

Ability to attend site in Central London Professional indemnity insurance preferred (or ability to work under ours) Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) or Supervisor (TWS) experience advantageous
