Position Overview:
As a Temporary Warehouse Operative, you will play a pivotal role in our warehouse operations, primarily focusing on picking, packing, and inbound tasks. Your attention to detail, ability to work efficiently, and commitment to maintaining a safe and organised workspace will contribute to the overall success of our warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Picking: Accurately pick items from designated locations within the warehouse according to pick lists or instructions provided. Ensure picked items match the orders and are in good condition. Utilise appropriate equipment (such as hand-held scanners or picking carts) to facilitate picking tasks efficiently. Packing: Pack items securely and appropriately for shipment, ensuring they are protected from damage during transit. Label packages with correct shipping information and affix necessary documentation. Maintain high standards of packaging quality and presentation. Inbounding: Receive incoming goods, verifying quantities and quality against delivery documentation. Sort and organise inbound shipments for efficient storage and retrieval. Assist in inventory reconciliation and updating system records as necessary. General Warehouse Duties: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse, including shelving, aisles, and work areas. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Support other warehouse tasks and initiatives as directed by supervisors or management.
Requirements:

Prior experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential. Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely, adhering to manual handling guidelines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures. Availability to work flexible hours and occasional overtime as required.
Duration:
This is a temporary position with an anticipated duration of up to 3 months. The contract may be extended based on business needs and performance.
