Permanent position (working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday)



We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident, and self-motivated individual with excellent high standard communication skills to provide support for Colchester Borough Homes' customers to enable them to sustain their tenancies. You will liaise with both statutory and voluntary organisations to access support and encourage independence. You will encourage a change in behaviour for customers with extremely complex needs. You will be experienced in managing a caseload, working in or closely with Adult Social Care, supporting victims of Domestic Abuse, Antisocial Behaviour and Hate incidents.

Your main roles will include:

To deliver and arrange the correct services for supporting tenants who are identified as being vulnerable or having extremely complex needs. To assess and identify individual needs and recommend appropriate support for customers Work with partner agencies and colleagues in a holistic way to provide positive outcomes. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records should legal action be considered Respond to complaints and enquiries within agreed timescales Provide a flexible and responsive service that is sensitive to our customer's needs


Your innovative approach will be matched by a combination of previous customer engagement and support experience, delivery of housing related support to people in the community and preventing homelessness by helping to maintain and sustain tenancies.

This position would particularly suit someone with social work experience who is able to provide the much-needed link between Housing and Social Care
