Tenant Support Officer



Chesterfield Churches Housing Association Ltd are looking for an applicant to join our dedicated tenant support team.

Harehill Court is a sheltered housing scheme comprising 33 flats for older adults, who live in their own homes with the provision of daily onsite support, a mid-day meal and social activities.

This new post is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of older adults, supporting them to safely live well and independently in a welcoming atmosphere.

Hours and working Pattern



22.5 hours per week on set days:

Week 1 Friday, Saturday, Sunday / Week 2 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Working hours 8.30am - 4.30pm

Includes bank holidays, occasional evening activities and cover for annual leave

Rate of Pay: 15.84 per hour

Post Review: After 12 months

DBS check is required.

The Role



As a tenant support officer you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to tenants enabling them to live fulfilling and independent lives at Harehill Court. You will play a key role in promoting wellbeing, safeguarding welfare and fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.

Key responsibilities include:

Checking on tenants' wellbeing daily

Supporting tenants with their day-to-day wellbeing

Socialising with tenants and supporting the mid-day meal service

Assisting tenants to access appropriate support and external services including attending multi-disciplinary meetings and making written referrals

Facilitating activities and ensuring all tenants can access them

Planning and adapting to the changing needs of the tenants and community

Recognising signs of physical or mental illness and supporting tenants in emergency situations

Building positive relationships with tenants their families and professionals

Keeping detailed, accurate records both written and electronic

About You



We are looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic about working with older adults and can work alongside a small, committed team.

Requirements



Experience working with older adults and understanding age related health issues and ways of supporting these needs

A good basic education

Basic IT skills

Good communication skills

A caring, respectful approach
