Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner looking for a term time only position, to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education for children in our nursery setting. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing environment that promotes the development and well-being of each child, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and engaged.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and physical development. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities, ensuring a structured yet flexible environment. Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to inform planning and support individual needs. Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership skills within the nursery team. Ensure the nursery is a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Drive initiatives that enhance the overall nursery experience for children and their families.

Experience

A background in early childhood education or childcare is essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively engage with children and parents alike. Demonstrated ability to manage groups of children while fostering an inclusive atmosphere. Leadership experience within a childcare environment would be an advantage.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.40-14.00 per hour
