Term-Time Playworker

Location:

Edinburgh City Centre

Hours:

Part-Time, 16 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Term-time only.

About the Role:

We are looking for a responsible, energetic, and caring Playworker to join our vibrant after-school club. Your primary role will be to facilitate fun, engaging activities and ensure the well-being of primary school-aged children in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely collect children from two nearby schools and escort them to our club. Prepare and serve healthy snacks. Actively supervise and engage with children in play and leisure activities. Help create a fun, stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment for all children. Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.

About You (The Ideal Candidate):

Reliable, punctual, and safety conscious. A caring nature and a genuine enthusiasm for working with young children. Energetic and with a proactive, can-do attitude. Organised and able to follow safeguarding and operational procedures. A good team player who communicates and engages positively with their colleagues.
A satisfactory PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme disclosure is essential for this role.

You must be willing to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
