J&K Aquatics are the UK's largest National Wholesale business servicing the Specialist Pet and Aquatics retail market. We have a large portfolio of over 7,000 SKU's. We are uniquely positioned to be able to service the retail market with a complete package, unlike other competitors in the market, not only supplying 'dry goods' and consumables, but also live ornamental fish and plants.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing individual to join our field-based sales team. The ideal candidate will have some experience in the pet and aquatic industry and certainly have a passion for fish keeping.

Overview:



As a Territory Sales Manager at J&K Aquatics, you will be responsible for the sales performance of Northern England and Scotland. Managing your own diary to maximise growth across a broad portfolio of retail customers including independent pet and aquatic retailers, garden centres and pet retail chains.

The role is field-based, meeting with our long-standing customer base, developing and maintaining relationships and ultimately delivering sales growth.

The role requires overnight stays away from home, possibly including several nights consecutively when visiting Scotland / further a field.

Approximately 1-2 days per month will be spent working from home to undertake admin tasks.

Being self-motivated, organised and driven to succeed, the ideal candidate will be well suited to work alone using their own initiative and without supervision whilst being a team player as part of our remote sales team and liaising with head office.

Some basic but competent IT skills are essential including the ability learn new systems and adapt working practice to drive efficiency. The main tool for field sales is a CRM platform which allows cost-effective planning and recording of all activities, analysis of sales data and getting the best from each call.

Applicants should be an excellent communicator, confident to present and negotiate and will have a good understanding and feel of sales and market trends. The role is accountable for meeting sales and profitability targets and ensuring regular planning and reporting is maintained. Competent and confident driving skills are fundamental for the role.

Schedule:

Full Time. Monday - Friday. Occasional weekend work for national exhibitions is required (Once / Twice per Year).

Pay & benefits :

Basic salary + sales target bonus. Company car. Employee discount.
