Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through rigorous testing and validation processes. This role requires a strong understanding of both software and mechanical systems, as well as proficiency in various engineering tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities



Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and ensure alignment with system design specifications. Conduct root cause analysis to identify defects and recommend solutions for improvement. Utilise tools such as LabView, Simulink, and MATLAB for testing automation and analysis. Perform testing on logic controllers and CAD systems to validate performance against specifications. Apply GD&T principles in the evaluation of mechanical designs to ensure compliance with industry standards. Maintain detailed documentation of test results, issues, and resolutions. Participate in design reviews to provide feedback on system design from a testing perspective.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices. Proficiency in using SolidWorks for mechanical design evaluation is highly desirable. Familiarity with logic controllers and their programming is advantageous. Experience with root cause analysis techniques to troubleshoot software issues effectively. Understanding of system design principles and their application in software development. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across various disciplines.

Pay: 40,000.00-45,000.00 per year
