The primary role for this position will involve carrying out functional testing of assembled PCBs and finished product. The role will also include other manual build assembly work and production tasks as required.
MAIN DUTIES:
Carry out Manufacturing Test of assembled PCBs following written test instructions, with a high level of attention to detail, using different computer applications, programming tools and test fixtures.
Identify any trends of manufacturing defects and work with colleagues to highlight and resolve these.
Assemble PCBs into finished product following high level assembly drawings.
Mechanical assembly of products to final and sub-assembly levels.
Assist with final product packing, labelling, and scanning.
Assist where required with general production work such as preparing items for build and manual tasks following surface mount assembly.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Previous experience working in a manufacturing test environment.
Experience operating functional or in-circuit test fixtures.
Computer literate and comfortable using different Windows environments.
Experience using programming cables/hardware/software would be advantageous.
Experience using bench power supplies would be advantageous.
Experience of debug activities and investigation/logging of test fails would be advantageous.
Excellent attentional to detail.
Good listener and team player.
Methodical, enthusiastic, organised and able to work on own initiative.
Have a flexible approach to working arrangements. Out of hours working may be required to cover the needs of the business in certain situations.
