Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation, web services testing, and defect management, with hands-on experience across agile and waterfall methodologies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, streamline testing processes, and deliver reliable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution

Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional and regression testing.

Modify and maintain existing test cases based on evolving requirements and features.

Document performance and automated test results to ensure transparency and traceability.

Automation & Tools

Perform automation testing using tools such as SOAP UI PRO, Ready API, Selenium WebDriver.

Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).

Conduct web services testing (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML) to validate APIs and integrations.

Defect Management & Collaboration

Utilize bug tracking tools (Jira, TFS) to log, track, and resolve defects.

Collaborate with development teams to analyze issues and implement fixes.

Participate in daily scrum meetings and project reviews to provide status updates.

Process Improvement & Governance

Contribute to workflow and process improvements to enhance customer service and reduce operational costs.

Provide recommendations for ongoing improvement of testing procedures and controls.

Ensure adherence to project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and best practices.

Required Skills & Expertise

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

5-7 years of professional experience in software testing and automation.

Strong knowledge of test automation tools (SOAP UI PRO, Ready API, Selenium WebDriver).

Proficiency in Core Java, HTML, XML, SQL, CSS, scripting languages.

Experience in Snowflake Data warehousing with performance testing is preferred.

Experience with bug tracking tools (Jira, TFS) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).

Familiarity with Snowflake, Terraform, MS Office packages.

Solid understanding of web services testing and API validation.

Ability to work across multiple browsers and environments (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience in both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 50,000.00-55,000.00 per year
