This is a key role and will require an individual who can drive change in collaboration with the existing teams. As part of this position, you'll report to the senior leadership team and work closely with senior management on key initiatives. The role will be based in our manufacturing site in Plymouth, UK with some international travel.
Key Responsibilities
Own the conversation on what, why, where and how to test our new materials and products
Maintain appropriate current capability whilst developing skills, techniques and equipment in order to execute Plessey's strategic goals
Ensure appropriate alignment between R&D / Characterisation methods and various levels of production
Develop and manage a team to help execute on agreed strategy
Deliver systems to meet R&D requirements and systems suitable for a manufacturing line
Drive collaboration between Plessey and manufacturing partners
Experience & Attributes
10 + Significant year experience in semiconductor testing
Significant experience of semiconductor manufacture and semiconductor Fab methods
Experience of III/V semiconductor manufacture and LED structures
Detailed knowledge of key metrics and testing methods relating to LEDs and LEDs
Experience in Fab automation systems, wafer handling and wafer test
Experience with data management (storage, access, security) in a manufacturing / Fab
Experience of Manufacturing Execution Systems as used in a Fab
5+ years' experience in ATE programming, particularly with Teradyne test systems using IGXL
Good experience in ATE board-level hardware design (e.g. tester/prober interface boards)
Strong proficiency in programming in IGXL/VBT, with some experience in C++ and Python an advantage
A proven track record in projects developing ATE hardware/software
