Job Description

We are looking for a

Test Engineer

to join an R&D team and play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of innovative products. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a passion for problem-solving in a lab and product development environment.

Key Responsibilities

Execute product and process testing, including

test rig setup, sample preparation, and data recording

. Support

laboratory operations

, including equipment maintenance, calibration checks, and ensuring safe working practices. Assist with

quality control processes

and ensure testing aligns with industry standards (ISO, CE, UKCA, UL, EMC, LVD). Collect, analyse, and report test data, highlighting anomalies and supporting

root cause analysis

. Collaborate with engineers and technicians to validate product performance and drive improvements. Contribute ideas for

continuous improvement

in test methods, lab efficiency, and product quality.

Skills & Competencies

Familiarity with

mechanical/electrical testing techniques, lab equipment, and quality assurance principles

. Strong

attention to detail

and accuracy in test execution and data handling. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret results and identify trends. Effective

communication skills

for reporting and cross-team collaboration. Organisational ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain clear documentation.

Education & Experience

HNC/HND or

Bachelor's degree

in Engineering, Physics, or a related field desirable. Experience in a

test lab or quality assurance environment

preferred. Proficiency in

Microsoft Office

(Excel, Word, Outlook). Familiarity with CAD tools & PDM systems (SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Siemens Teamcenter, ARAS) is a plus. Understanding of relevant

standards and directives

(ISO, CE, UKCA, UL) beneficial.

Pay: 33,000.00-40,000.00 per year
