Company Overview

An established global specialist in HVAC equipment manufacturer based in Gillingham, manufacturing of Louvre, mist eliminator, air intakes, Dampers, and Air handling units, products focused for the oil, gas, marine, and nuclear industries.

Job Purpose

Carry out testing in house and externally

Key duties and responsibilities

Responsibility for ensuring allocated tasks are conducted in a safe manner in accordance with applicable standards, company procedures/policies for both Wozair employees and sub-contractors working on site, ensuring no activity is conducted that may put any person at risk, directly or indirectly or cause any damage to or pollution of the environment; that any allocated equipment, tools etc. are used in a safe and correct manner and not subjected to misuse or abuse.

Seek ways to improve processes and performance in line with company Continuous Improvement program

Adhere to company policies contained in employee handbook

Adhere to health and safety policies

Liaise with R&D, production and manufacturing to plan inspections and test programmes

Involvement with fire damper testing at laboratories and working with the R&D team to ensure the lab has all the required details

Set up and operation of test rigs as required

Assist and attend other product testing at laboratories such as sound testing etc

Be familiar with BS EN standards relating to ventilation equipment. Training will be given.

Write up test reports

Compile punch lists of faults found during inspections

Assist with pre-testing and testing, during client attendance of capital plant (Air Handling Units, Chemical Filter Units etc)

Key Skills Required

Ability to read engineering drawings

Ability to read electrical schematics

Knowledge of Wozair procedures

Knowledge of Wozair works instructions. Training will be provided.

Excellent decision-making skills

Knowledge of relevant standards and specifications

Portray a professional image when representing Wozair

Excellent time management/planning skills

Microsoft Office skills

Education & experience

Minimum of 5 years as test engineer or similar role

Familiar with manufacturing environment

Other Requirements

Able to work as part of a team

Flexibility

Full and clean driving license

Passport

BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check may be required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 36,000.00 per year
