Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through rigorous testing processes. This position requires a strong understanding of software development life cycles and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for various applications. Perform functional, regression, and performance testing to identify defects and ensure software quality. Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on usability. Utilise tools such as Eclipse for test automation and version control systems like GitHub for code management. Conduct testing on web services, including REST APIs, to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Document test results, track defects, and report findings to the development team. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team. Maintain a thorough understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) to align testing efforts with project timelines.

Experience

Proficiency in Linux operating systems is essential for executing tests in various environments. Familiarity with user interface (UI) testing methodologies and tools. Experience with JDBC for database connectivity during testing processes. Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS is advantageous for testing applications deployed in cloud environments. Understanding of PHP programming language is beneficial for backend testing scenarios. Previous experience in a similar role or relevant field is preferred.
