The opportunity:

Due to sustained growth and the evolution of business requirements of our customer base, Leonardo UK are looking to recruit a Test Engineer, working on our Cyclamen Project.

The Test Engineer will be conducting off-site commissioning and testing work required by the Cyclamen Project, together with test various test activities at Rollestone.

The role will require excellent team working attributes but also requires the ability to take responsibility and accountability for individual tasks and to work independently.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do as a Test Engineer:

• Perform commissioning and testing on computer controlled monitoring systems at customer sites.
• Be responsible as part of a team for ensuring that testing is carried out comprehensively on target systems and fully and accurately recorded.
• Ensure that the Test Manager is informed on the status of the test processes.
• Be responsible for all assets whether customer or company owned assets carried in vehicles under their charge or utilised whilst carrying out their duties.

Responsibilities will vary according to the requirements of the business.

What we need from you:

Knowledge & Experience

• Have knowledge of test processes and procedures of systems and sub-systems.
• To be able to quickly gain a working knowledge of the operation of IT solutions.
• A methodical thinker able to communicate ideas to others.

Personal Skills

• Have a flexible approach to work requirements and demanding situations.
• Be a good communicator, in both written and verbal forms.
• Confident in liaising with the customer on behalf of the company.

Qualifications

• ONC in Electronics / electrical engineering (or an agreed equivalent) or Significant experience of working on electronic systems test.

Other

• Be able to be Security Cleared to SC level.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Holder of a current UK Passport.
• Flexible to travel throughout the UK.
• Flexible to work unsociable hours.
