Primary Responsibilities



Work as part of the Lancer Scott Engineering Team on site at UWE you'll share responsibility for the completion of pre-planned maintenance, specifically the electrical systems inspection and testing. Working closely with our Electrical QS you'll complete and issue inspection and testing reports to a high standard.

You will play a key role in planning and completing a range of works associated with the electrical systems. This will also include installation and testing of these systems dependent on relevant experience.

Completion of reactive and remedial repairs associated with the electrical systems following testing and inspections and as directed by the Lancer Scott Contract Support Team. Provide exceptional maintenance services to the client, going the extra mile to deliver work to the highest standard Use your initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with reactive maintenance activities, including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support. Provide detailed write-ups of works carried out to ensure our client is kept informed. Carry out all works within agreed timescales and to the highest standards, ensuring that you comply with current regulations and contract specifications. Reporting and recording procedures, including operation and maintenance logs and control measures to minimise risks. Liaise closely with our support team to ensure efficient response to all works either working on your own or as part of a team. Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are followed. Provide out-of-hours cover on a rota system.

Skills, Experience & Background



Essential



'C&G Lv 3 2357 or equivalent, having completed a relevant apprenticeship within your trade Have experience in a building maintenance role, particularly in relation to planned, reactive and remedial maintenance Electrical Inspection & Testing 2391-52 AM2 C&G 2382 18th Edition Current Full UK Driver's License UKATA Asbestos awareness training ECS/CSCS H&S qualification Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders Ability to complete administrative tasks accurately and on time
