On a daily basis, as a Test Lead you will be responsible for the Test Execution for multiple Projects/Maintenance Cycles from Development through to Go-Live. As Test Lead you will work with all departments to ensure quality deliverables, building strong relationships between the business and IT delivering software through Agile methodology. From time to time you will be required to perform software tests, following best practice to ensure quality and correct documentation of test procedures in all areas of software testing.
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of documented test cases. Executing tests, preparing test reports, and working closely with relevant departments and stakeholders to report defects when required.
Key responsibilities include:
Management of the Test Teams sickness, holiday, and other absences via People HR
Regularly review training and development requirements for the Test Team, ensuring all team members remain up to date with the latest technologies and leadership knowledge
Complete the Test Teams performance management process, ensuring regular 1-2-1s are completed and People HR is updated to reflect goal progress and actions on a monthly basis
Manage and prioritise the Test team's workload
Leads test phases across work streams ensuring adequate transition to the live environment
Co-ordinate IT and Business users involved in testing, planning, preparing, executing, and reporting test progress
Manage all aspects of the end to end Testing process
Managing and Delivering Phases of testing for multiple projects
Creation of Test Strategies and Test Plans
Test Execution and Sign-off
Defining the scope of testing within the context of each Project / Cycle
Define and agree test plans with IT/Business and Stakeholders
Monitor and reports progressing to all interested parties and escalate issues as required
Ensure the acceptance criteria for each test phase are achieved
Responsible for Project/Release quality prior to UAT and Go-live
Reports and chairs meetings on deviations, risks, issues relating to the project/change
Controls and manages the release communication and training
Ensure the live release planning approvals are completed
Drive process improvements for delivering change, faster at optimum cost and minimised risk to operational services
Defining the scope of testing within the context of each Project / Cycle
Define and agree test plans with Test Lead and the Scrum teams
Provide accurate test estimates for Requirements
Monitor and report test progress to all interested parties and escalate issues as required
Ensure the acceptance criteria for each test phase are achieved
Train and mentor new Joiners and other Team members

Expected experience & skills:
Sound knowledge Minimum 5 years proven track record in Software Testing
Must have experience in Agile/Scrum models
Strong Testing experience with API, Cross Platform Testing, Cross Browser Testing, Web, Mobile and Tablet
Strong Testing Experience in Non-Functional testing
Experience of working with Test Management tools like JIRA, TFS, ALM
Familiar with C# .NET, HTML, SQL & Java
Good Experience of working with SQL and SQL Management Studio.
Excellent knowledge in Postman & SOAP UI for API Testing
Keen attention to detail essential
Must be motivated to work independently whilst able to positively influence and engage with other team members
Must be able to work closely with the BA & development teams
Beneficial - Previous work experience within the logistics industry
ISTQB Advance level Test Analyst or equivalent certification in software Testing is desirable but not essential
Beneficial skills:
Automation skills experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks and scripts in line with coding standards will be an added advantage (not a must have)
Demonstrated experience writing test scripts from scratch in C# .net will be an added advantage (not a must have)
Experience working with Selenium Webdriver will be an added advantage (not a must have)
