Information Services Division (ISD) is the primary provider of IT services to UCL. We support and enhance learning, teaching, research and administrative processes by providing information- and technology-related services to over 50,000 staff and students of UCL and associated institutions.

Portfolio and Product Delivery manage the delivery of technology led change, partnering with colleagues across UCL. We collaborate as cross functional agile teams and have core capabilities in experience, development & test, analysis and agile delivery management.
About the role
------------------
As a Test Lead within our IT Portfolio & Product Delivery team, you will be responsible for test improvement and optimisation whilst promoting and advocating test capabilities across the Information Services Division. You'll make important decisions related to test within the context of the delivery of various products on CRM platform and define the scope of testing for each release and delivery. Additionally, you'll liaise with stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) to communicate progress or updates and manage expectations.
You will also be involved in the following:
Risk management and applying the appropriate test measurements and metrics in the CRM product and the testing team.
Responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of testing efforts for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, ensuring their quality and functionality align with business requirements.
You should have experience or knowledge in below:
Experienced in developing test strategies and plans, leading and mentoring a testing team, coordinating with stakeholders to gather requirements, executing manual and automated tests, and tracking and reporting on defects.
Knowledge of queues, activity types , different approaches, testing plugins, workflows, and customisations in Dynamics 365 CE
Awareness of what is Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement & the difference between CRM, ERP & Finance and Operations in the context of Dynamics 365 .
The core entities of Dynamics 365 CE, basics like adv find, knowledge of security model ,use of xrm toolbox (or knowledge of how to use it), chrome extensions example level up, use of advanced settings
Power Apps and Power Automate in the context of Dynamics 365 CE
Experience with different testing types: functional, regression, user acceptance testing.
About you
-------------
As a hands-on Test Lead you have recent experience in delivering testing efforts in complex projects in Microsoft Dynamics 365 with a keen eye for detail and software testing knowledge. Your background includes a track record of test leadership, owning and implementing testing solutions using different tool sets. You have excellent stakeholder management skills and are able to collaborate with colleagues at varying management layers at UCL. Additionally, you're adaptable with the ability to respond quickly to changes in the testing process and can develop and adjust testing strategies and plans as needed to ensure software products meet quality standards.
You will also be able to demonstrate hands-on testing experience ideally using the following toolsets, languages and frameworks:
Although not essential, any knowledge in the Higher Education industry and data migration and validation in Dynamics 365 CE testing would be advantageous.
