Job Description

Responsibilities:



Plan and conduct experiments and cleaning trials internally ensuring meticulous data collection, recording and analysis. Conduct routine sampling and analysis to support product development and trials Manage all lab activities including stock control, service and maintenance of all lab equipment and waste management. Manage, maintain and draft new SOPs, COSHH and RAMS's as required. Ability to operate test rigs and electrochemical generators to produce product for internal and external trials. Provide practical support to the internal engineering function during design, construction and testing of test rigs and prototypes. Conduct routine sampling and analysis to support product development and trials Management of IBC stock including filling and shipment for trials at customer sites and waste management Support product trials at customer facilities including preparation of all equipment, transportation arrangements and delivery of product at customer sites, on-site analysis, post-trial equipment cleaning and sanitation. Accurately gather trials data and subsequent transcription to specific databases enabling analysis and elucidation of business benefits. Maintenance and calibration of test equipment including pumps, pipe work, sensors etc Provide regular project updates on progress to the line manager as required Document results and write reports that are able to be presented to customers Ownership of designated areas ensuring the work environment is clean and safe for colleagues to use. Strong appreciation for H&S, conducting risk assessments and supporting general facility H&S duties (fire alarm testing, fire extinguisher checks) Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures especially relating to product development and Health and Safety Liaise with third parties and strategic partners to deliver specific projects as required Develop a strong collaborative relationship with other internal functions fostering an environment of knowledge gathering and sharing Build and maintain a strong scientific understanding of technologies relevant to Innovations Carry out other reasonable duties as required.

Keen to learn new skills and develop within the role and organisation. Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving. Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills. Flexible approach to working as the role will involve unsociable hours and some weekend work may be required. * Willingness to travel within the UK but some overseas travel may be required to support activities in Europe and N America in the future.
