Job Summary

The test/fitting team member is responsible for assembling components and conducting tests on finished rotating assemblies to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. This role is critical in validating product functionality, safety, and reliability before release.

Key Responsibilities

Test/fitting

Performance run test to be carried out to ISO standards Record and analyse test results, including data collection and interpretation, to identify trends and issues. Assemble components in conjunction with technical drawings and documentation
Issue Identification and Reporting:

Identify, troubleshoot, and document issues or failures during testing/fitting. Participate in problem-solving activities to challenges defects and support the implementation of corrective actions.
Tools Development:

Ensure the test/fitting environment is properly set up, calibrated, and aligned with testing/fitting requirements. Continuously improve testing/fitting processes by exploring new tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Compliance and Documentation:

Ensure that testing processes comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Maintain detailed records of tests, test conditions, and outcomes for future reference and audits. Provide feedback on design and development based on test results, highlighting potential improvements or risks.
Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, design, and quality assurance, to resolve issues and improve product quality. Ensure all equipment in use is calibrated at all times.
Safety and Compliance:

Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct dynamic risk assessments prior to beginning any test and ensure the work area is clean and safe.

Time Management: Effectively manage multiple tests and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience

Hard Skills Required and relevant associated Qualifications/Experience

Proficiency in testing/assembly of rotating equipment i.e. fans. Strong understanding of testing/assembly methodologies, tools, and techniques. Experience of a similar testing/assembly environment Good understanding of mechanical engineering assembly and test.
Soft Skills Required

Work Ethic - high work ethic with focus on attention to detail, persistence, dependability and integrity. Problem Solving - capable of solving problems based on analysis, critical thinking, research and teamwork. Team work - able to work across functions and understand their challenges. A positive 'can-do' attitude with an optimistic approach.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.28-17.43 per hour
