We're looking for a Textile Intelligence Analyst to join our Leeds-based team and help shape the future of textile innovation reporting. This role bridges editorial content and consultancy, supporting both our B2B intelligence platform and our growing bespoke research service. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for, and interest in, innovation across the textile & apparel value chain, spanning materials, manufacturing and garment production. Key responsibilities
Editorial content creation
Research and write high-quality content on the latest innovations in sportswear, outdoorwear, footwear and performance materials, including deep dives into academic developments, coverage of market innovations and company analysis.
Conduct interviews with innovators, brands and technical experts to uncover first-hand insights.
Track and analyse material trends, technologies and market movements shaping the textile and apparel sectors, to stay ahead of the industry's information needs.
Contribute to the editorial pipeline, suggesting topics and thought-leadership ideas relevant to our audience.
Attend industry conferences and events where necessary, providing coverage of key themes and developments.
Consultancy support
Support the delivery of bespoke consultancy projects by conducting desk research, outreach, data sourcing and analysis and contributing to written outputs.
Help prepare proposals, reports and client deliverables that translate technical or market information into actionable insights.
Collaborate with the project team to define research methodologies and frameworks.
Help further WTiN's consultancy growth by collaborating with the marketing team on dedicated campaigns.
What we're looking for
Essential skills and experience
Strong writing and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and compellingly.
Proven understanding of textiles, finishing & effects or apparel innovation - supported by either academic study (undergraduate or master's level) or commercial experience in a relevant area such as materials or performance apparel.
Demonstrable experience or interest in research, journalism, market analysis or consultancy.
Confidence in interviewing and gathering first-hand insights from industry professionals.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desirable
Experience producing B2B or technical content for professional audiences.
Familiarity with innovation tracking, funding ecosystems or market data.
Competence in small-scale data handling and infographic tools (e.g. Excel, Infogram)
Previous experience supporting consultancy or research projects.
Personal attributes

Pay: 28,000.00-32,000.00 per year
