About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and professional

Thai Interpreter

to facilitate effective communication between Thai and English speakers across a range of settings, including (but not limited to) legal, medical, community, and business environments. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong command of both Thai and English, and a passion for bridging language and cultural gaps.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide accurate and professional

consecutive and/or simultaneous interpreting

between Thai and English. Assist clients in various settings such as legal proceedings, medical appointments, government services, business meetings, and community engagements. Maintain confidentiality and neutrality at all times. Prepare for assignments by reviewing relevant terminology and materials. Accurately relay spoken content while preserving tone, style, and intent. Maintain professional conduct and adhere to interpreting standards and ethics.

Requirements:

Fluency in both Thai and English

(spoken and written). Must be

based in the UK

and legally eligible to work. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Professionalism, reliability, and cultural sensitivity.

Desirable (Preferred Qualifications):

Previous experience in interpreting

(any setting: medical, legal, public service, etc.).

Formal interpreting qualifications or certifications

, such as: Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) Community Interpreting Certification NRPSI registration or equivalent
