Location:

The Farmer's Dog, with flexibility to work remotely for most of the week. The role requires attendance on-site twice per week to collect post and delivery notes.

Working Hours:

Part-Time, Monday - Friday 9.00am-3.00pm

Salary:

24,000 - 28,000 per annum (FTE), pro-rated to reflect part-time hours (30 hours/week), depending on experience and qualifications.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our finance team and help keep our financial operations running smoothly.

Purpose of the Role



The Finance Assistant plays a vital role in the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations. You will support the Finance Manager and wider team by maintaining financial records, handling queries, and supporting key month-end and payroll processes.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and keen to develop their finance career in a busy and growing company.

Key Responsibilities



Process supplier invoices each week, ensuring accurate matching to delivery notes Code invoices correctly to departments, cost centres, and accounts using Dext and Xero Prepare weekly payment runs and manage remittances Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on discrepancies Support with bank reconciliations and ledger reviews Collate and check payroll inputs monthly Maintain digital records and filing systems for financial documents Assist with VAT preparation and month-end close tasks Provide ad hoc finance admin support to the Finance Manager

Experience & Qualifications



At least 2 years of experience in a similar finance, accounts, or bookkeeping role Experience with accounting software (ideally Xero) Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets (basic formulas, filters, etc.) Experience in a multi-site or hospitality environment is a plus AAT Level 2 or working toward a finance qualification (desirable but not essential)
