The InfoSec and Cyber Lead plays a pivotal role in shaping and securing Sinclair's digital future. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role accountable for defining and driving Sinclair's global information security posture. This includes managing the third-party cyber ecosystem, embedding security-by-design across change, championing user awareness and culture, and ensuring Sinclair is governed, monitored, and protected across all its digital landscapes. This role is about leading the charge - not just managing tools - and setting the tone and expectations around cyber. It blends vision, influence, and hands-on delivery where appropriate.
Hours:
Full-time, 37 hours per week
Location:
Chester, UK (hybrid/flexible options can be added if applicable)
Contract:
12-month fixed-term contract

What You'll Be Doing:
Lead Sinclair's cybersecurity strategy, acting as the InfoSec authority and driving the security vision across the organisation.
Oversee all cyber initiatives, coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and business stakeholders
Embed "secure by design" principles into technology and business change programmes.
Implement and maintain security governance, risk management, and compliance with internal policies and external standards (e.g., NIST)
Develop and lead security awareness campaigns and training to foster a strong security culture.
Manage security operations, including vendor relationships, incident response, and escalation of major security issues.
Provide technical oversight through architecture reviews, vulnerability remediation, and incident investigations as needed
Advise senior leadership on emerging cyber risks, contribute to strategic planning, and stay current with industry developments to proactively enhance Sinclair's security posture.

Your skills and experience
Essential:
Proven experience leading or significantly shaping an InfoSec function, ideally within a global or regulated business.
Strong understanding of risk management, governance, and security control frameworks.
Experience managing and extracting value from security vendors and MSSPs.
Track record of influencing cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
Solid hands-on technical understanding across endpoint, network, and cloud security.
Confident in incident management and post-mortem analysis/advanced problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
Security qualifications: CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
Familiarity with NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR.
Knowledge of Microsoft Defender, Intune, and M365 security stack.
Experience running phishing campaigns and awareness programmes.
