- Provide direct patient care in the theatre setting
- Assist with surgical procedures and ensure a safe and sterile environment
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments
- Monitor patients during surgery
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
- Follow infection prevention control protocols to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections
- Document patient information accurately and maintain patient confidentiality
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Theatre Practitioner or in a similar role is preferred
- Ophthalmology experience would be a huge advantage
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care principles
- Ability to analyze situations and make critical decisions quickly and effectively
- Proficiency in infection prevention control measures and maintaining a sterile environment
- Basic life support certification is required
Full time position - 37.5 hrs - Rota system 7am-8pm, Monday to Saturday.
