About SunDrama

SunDrama provides therapeutic, creative and sensory-based alternative provision for children and young people with SEND. Sessions take place in homes, schools, community centres and libraries, focusing on emotional regulation, communication and wellbeing.

The Role - Therapeutic Assistant (2:1 Support)

We are looking for a calm, reliable and caring Therapeutic Assistant to work

alongside the lead practitioner

during 1:1 sessions (making the support ratio 2:1).

Your role will be to:

Support the lead Therapeutic Practitioner during sessions Help prepare and set up sensory, play-based and creative activities Join in sessions to encourage engagement, communication and confidence Assist with transitions, outdoor activities and community-based learning Provide gentle emotional and behavioural support when needed Follow safeguarding, confidentiality and lone-worker procedures Communicate professionally with SunDrama and the lead practitioner

About You

We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds, such as: TA, SEN support, early years, youth work, playwork, or anyone with experience supporting children with additional needs.

You should:

Have experience working with children/young people Be patient, nurturing and confident working in small SEND settings Be comfortable taking direction from the lead practitioner Be willing to learn about sensory needs, emotional regulation and trauma-informed practice Have an enhanced DBS (or be willing to obtain one) Have the right to work in the UK Ideally have access to transport
