Therapeutic Childcare Practitioner (Children's Residential Care)

Full time (Permanent) and Bank contracts available

Salary:

22,120 pa starting salary (unqualified). qualified - Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent, earning up to 30,205pa

Hours:

Permanent full time (40 hrs a week : shift work which includes working some evenings and weekends and on average 2 x sleep-in a week at 65.00 per sleep)

We provide therapeutic residential care for vulnerable and traumatised children with emotional and behavioural difficulties

The role of Therapeutic Childcare Practitioner is to provide care, nurture and support to our vulnerable and traumatised children in our solo residential home and to engage in reflective practice. You will be committed to improving the mental and emotional health of children and assist them in beginning to work through and recover from their trauma and difficulties in a homely, safe and warm therapeutic environment. Supporting children to understand the impact of their pasts and corresponding behaviours and feelings and manage healthier relationships and develop their trust and self-esteem.

If you are unqualified, Mainstay Care will fund the course and pay for time and support you to complete and achieve the required Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare for this role.
