Location:

Stowmarket, Suffolk & Remote

Hours:

37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (32.5 hours based at Stowmarket 08:30 - 15:30 plus 4.5 hours remote)

Type:

Temporary for 1 year with possibility of extension (PAYE)

to deliver our bespoke

Therapeutic Curriculum

to children aged 4-11 at our new hub is opening 1st September 2025 located in Stowmarket, Suffolk

Key Responsibilities:



Plan and deliver engaging, child-centred sessions using the GROW curriculum. Implement EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) outcomes within sessions for each individual child. Prepare, review and update risk assessments for activities within the local community. Prepare EHCP outcomes reports for new children joining Sendsory and maintain regular records of progress against identified EHCP outcomes. Record daily observations via the Sendsory app. Manage and delegate responsibilities to a small team of Therapeutic Practitioners, ensuring smooth session delivery. Purchase and manage snacks and drinks for each session, ensuring dietary needs are met. Support the preparation and contribution to annual reviews, professional meetings and other multi-agency work as required. Provide personal care for children as required, maintaining dignity and respect at all times. Set up and tidy up the therapeutic space before and after each session, ensuring a safe, welcoming and calming environment. Support children during breakfast and lunch times, encouraging independence and social interaction. Complete end-of-provision assessments as required. Liaise with parents of new referrals to discuss the intake process and gather essential information.

Requirements:



Minimum of 5 years' experience working with primary-aged children with SEND (SEMH, ASD, ADHD, SPD) Proven experience planning and delivering a tailored curriculum in a therapeutic or alternative setting An understanding of trauma-informed practice Familiarity with Makaton, PECS, or Talk Pads is an advantage Excellent communication, record-keeping and interpersonal skills Confident working independently and as part of a multi-agency team Organised, empathetic, resilient and flexible

Certifications Required:



Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) Safeguarding Children Certificate
