Therapeutic Practitioner - Northpoint Wellbeing

----------------------------------------------------

Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for two Therapeutic Practitioner (Children & Young People) roles based in Halifax, on a full-time, permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of 40,290 - 46,330 per annum.

Are you the calm, knowledgeable voice to help children and young people get the mental health support they need?

At Northpoint, we're building a future where children, young people, and families can access timely, compassionate mental health support close to home. We're looking for a caring and motivated Therapeutic Practitioner to join our Open Minds (CAMHS) team in Calderdale. Our ideal candidate is someone who can deliver effective interventions, work creatively in a dynamic environment, and collaborate closely with partners to improve outcomes for children and families.

Our offer to you:

35-hour full-time working week with hybrid options - giving you flexibility to balance work and home life

28 days holiday plus 3 extra days over Christmas

Ongoing professional development

Enhanced leave policies that support you when it matters most

Opportunities to join peer support groups

Why choose Northpoint?

We're dedicated to providing a range of talking and digital therapies to children, young people, and adults across Yorkshire and the surrounding areas. Our core values; professionalism, responsiveness, collaboration, and transparency, guide everything we do.

We envision a world that supports good mental health for all. Our mission is to deliver effective mental healthcare and improve the mental health system in Yorkshire and beyond. With years of dedication, we've built a reputation for genuine expertise, trusted by both those who commission our services and those who seek our help.

We know that difference brings strength. Whoever you are, we want you to feel welcome, valued, and able to be yourself here.

What you'll do as our Therapeutic Practitioner:

Assess the strengths and needs of children, young people, and their families or carers

Support access to community-based services and self-help resources

Deliver short-term, evidence-based interventions, helping service users identify goals, measure progress, and celebrate success

Work collaboratively with schools, CAMHS, voluntary sector partners, and other services to ensure joined-up care

What you'll bring as our Therapeutic Practitioner:

Warmth, compassion, and positivity, building strong, trusting relationships with children, young people, families, and colleagues

A proactive and adaptable approach, able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team

Strong organisational skills to manage your workload confidently in a busy environment

Thoughtful and responsive, ensuring children and families feel supported every step of the way

If you're ready to make a meaningful impact as a Therapeutic Practitioner and be a vital part of a team transforming mental health support, we'd love to hear from you.

Closing date: 07 December 2025

We review applications regularly and sometimes close adverts early if we receive a high level of interest or find someone who's a great fit, so don't wait to apply.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and expect all employees to share this commitment. Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require an Enhanced Children's Workforce DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
