Join us at SWAAY to re-parent traumatised and abused children, who have displayed harmful sexual behaviours, supporting them to achieve their aspirations whilst we support you to achieve yours!

Salary: From 24,570 - 12.60 p/h (depending on experience and qualifications) + sleep ins (adding at least 2,730 to your annual income)



37.5 hours per week. Shifts include 3pm-11pm, 10am-11pm, sleep ins, across weekdays and weekends. 6 week rolling rota.





We are looking for a dedicated and nurturing Therapeutic Residential Worker to join our team to build meaningful relationships with our young people, supporting them to thrive and reach their full potential. You will be a positive role model to the young people in our care, with the ability to maintain boundaries to keep our young people safe whilst meeting their emotional and developmental needs.

Whether you are already experienced in residential childcare or looking for a new career, we want to hear from you!

It would be great if you have an NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare, but if not we will fully support you to achieve this qualification.

For over 30 years, we have been committed to providing specialised, high-quality residential care, education and therapy for young males, aged 11-18 with developmental trauma who have displayed sexually harmful behaviour. We work to reduce the risk our young people pose, meet their complex needs and help them to manage their physical and behavioural difficulties, so they can leave their past traumas behind, build healthy relationships and lead responsible and rewarding adult lives.

As a Therapeutic Residential Worker, your responsibilities include:



Creating and maintaining a safe, nurturing and inclusive home environment Supporting our young people to develop the skills and tools that prepare them for successful adult lives Recognising and responding to safeguarding concerns to keep the young people safe Promoting the health and wellbeing of each child Supervising the young people with day to day activities and visits Utilising trauma-informed approaches to support positive outcomes
