We are seeking a committed and compassionate Therapeutic Support Worker to join our dedicated team within a children's residential home in Lutterworth. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people who have experienced trauma, disruption, or emotional/behavioural challenges.
As a Therapeutic Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting children to feel safe, understood, and empowered. You will work as part of a therapeutic team to provide consistent care, develop trusting relationships, and help young people build resilience and positive life skills.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, trauma-informed care to children and young people in residence.
Build positive, trusting relationships that support emotional, social, and behavioural development.
Work collaboratively with the wider therapeutic and care team to deliver tailored support plans.
Promote independence, wellbeing, and positive routines within the home.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and review meetings.
Support children to engage in education, activities, and community life.
Ensure safeguarding and regulatory standards are upheld at all times.
Requirements
Experience working with children or young people in a residential, educational, or care setting (preferred).
An understanding of trauma, attachment, and therapeutic approaches.
Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
A caring, patient, and resilient approach.
Willingness to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
A full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
