12.44 - 13.50 per hour (based on an average of 3-4 shifts per week)

8:00 AM - 8:30 PM (No sleep-ins required)

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated

Residential Support Worker

to join our established team in our Stratford children's home. In this role, you will help children grow, heal, and thrive within a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support children with daily routines, activities, and transitions--promoting independence and self-esteem Follow care plans and guidance to meet each child's individual needs Provide consistent emotional and behavioural support, fostering resilience and trust Work closely with colleagues, families, and professionals to deliver coordinated care Safely transport children to school, appointments, and community activities as required Maintain accurate records of care and progress Use IT systems for communication and documentation Participate in training and professional development

What We're Looking For

Experience in a childcare or children's residential care setting is desirable Understanding of care planning and ability to support implementation Excellent verbal and written communication skills A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to care Familiarity with basic IT systems used in care environments A valid UK driving licence is preferred (to support transport responsibilities) A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children
