Barnardo's is the largest Children's Charity in the country and we know that we can only realise our ambitions and achieve better outcomes for more children, thanks to the talent, hard work and creativity of our people. That is why we recruit outstanding people who share our commitment to deliver excellent services to children and young people.
St Helens Resilience Service is a service that has been developed through collaboration between Barnardo's and St Helens CCG, Public Health, Local Schools and Merseycare NHS Trust.
The overall aim of the service is to improve the emotional wellbeing and resilience of secondary school aged young people living in St Helens by offering a range of therapeutic interventions in secondary schools, in GP surgeries and in the community. This is done through direct interventions with young people such as group work, drop-ins and individual interventions, and indirectly through their parents, and through training, resourcing and supporting health and education colleagues.
