Freelance Play Therapists / Theraplay Practitioners - Children in Care

ACCOLADE is seeking qualified

Play Therapists and Theraplay Practitioners

to deliver specialist therapeutic interventions for children in care across Leicester and the surrounding boroughs.

Our children and young people have often experienced trauma, loss, and disrupted relationships. Through play-based interventions and Theraplay-informed practice, you will help build attachment, support emotional regulation, and promote recovery and resilience.

About the role

Freelance / sessional basis with flexible working hours Direct work with children in care, tailored to their individual needs Supporting care planning and contributing to therapeutic assessments Working collaboratively with social workers, carers, and professionals to create consistent therapeutic approaches

We are looking for practitioners who:

Are qualified in Play Therapy, Theraplay, or related therapeutic practice Have experience of working with children in care or other vulnerable young people Understand trauma-informed and attachment-focused approaches Can offer interventions flexibly across Leicestershire and neighbouring boroughs

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: 32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 35 per week

Work Location: In person
