Location: Head Office based in Grantham and between our homes within the Leicestershire and Lincolnshire areas (currently NG32, NG33, NG13 and LE14).
Anchor Care and Education is a young and growing company, committed to providing the highest levels of care and support for children and young people aged 6-18 years old in a therapeutic home environment. Our homes are places where children can be happy, healthy, safe from harm and able to reach their full potential.
We are committed to taking the best care possible of our young people and of our staff team and we are looking to recruit a qualified therapist for this role, who will manage the therapeutic provision for our young people and also support the well-being of our team.
Your key responsibilities will be to take the lead in setting therapeutic goals and managing the therapeutic input for young people as they come to our homes and throughout their journey with us. This will mean finding and vetting external therapists, preparing the young people to engage with therapy and keeping the provision under review. You will be responsible for monitoring each young person's progress against agreed therapeutic targets and ensuring that young people and our team are debriefed after any incidents. You will support the staff team by leading and delivering training and offering individual coaching where appropriate. This may require some flexibility around working hours such as evenings and weekend working.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced therapist who can draw upon their knowledge, skills, and experience of working with children who present challenging behaviour and who have significant and complex social, emotional, and learning needs often stemming from adverse childhood experiences.
The right person will have a good understanding of, and be able to support staff to use, effective psychological tools to help young people to prepare for difficulties, regulate their emotions and de-escalate potential situations and to repair relationships after incidents/ruptures. They will also be able to offer confidential supervision to staff as required and recommend further support that might be needed.
