About us

Stone Lodge Therapeutic School is a split site special school in Kettering and Thrapston specialising in supporting children aged 11-17 with high functioning autism and social emotional and mental health needs. We support vulnerable children with additional needs to meet their potential through care, understanding and ambition. Children follow a GCSE curriculum as well as additional outdoor and vocational learning.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a hardworking, dedicated, child-centred Therapy Assistant to work at our SEN school. We offer a supportive, well resourced provision with opportunities for progression and training. The successful candidate should be

either:

a psychology graduate or have a relevent qualification in OT/SaLT have experience in delivering interventions related to language and communication or sensory needs have experience in supporting chidlren in a SEN environment.

What the job involves:

Our therapy team are vital to the success of the school and as a therapy assistant you will support our therapy team, support pupils, complete individual and group sessions (such as ZOR/Lego therapy), complete assessments and support parents. You will be supporting the work of our occupational therapist and SaLTs including delivering sessions under their guidance.

Special school experience is not essential, but a willingness to learn is. Full training will be given and the school will be very supportive of ambitious staff who wish to progress.
