Priory Hospital Life Works is looking to recruit a Therapy Assistant to join the team. This is a full time/37.5 role.



Life Works is a trusted and welcoming private rehab centre in Surrey, near London, specialising in addiction recovery and eating disorder treatment.

What you'll be doing





You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.Collaborative Therapy Support: Assist qualified therapists in delivering evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Enhanced CBT for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), within both group and individual settings. Client Engagement and Monitoring: Encourage active participation in therapeutic activities such as mindfulness, art therapy, drama therapy, and psychoeducational workshops. Monitor client progress, document observations, and report any changes in physical, emotional, or mental health promptly. Activity Facilitation: Support the planning and implementation of structured activities, including community-based trips, yoga, Tai Chi, and guided walks, to promote holistic well-being and recovery. Environment Maintenance: Ensure a safe, welcoming, and therapeutic environment by assisting in the setup and maintenance of therapy spaces, equipment, and materials. Team Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, dietitians, nurses, and support staff to deliver integrated care tailored to individual client needs.

What you'll bring to the role





Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.



The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a healthcare or therapy setting, preferably working alongside therapists or rehabilitation professionals. A background in anatomy, physiology, or related health sciences is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to follow detailed treatment plans accurately are essential. Candidates should be comfortable assisting patients with mobility and therapeutic exercises, and demonstrate a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
